Introducing the
Bunny Buddies Program!
Does your bunny need a friend?

As any bunny enthusiast knows, a properly socialized indoor rabbit can become an integral part of the family. Bunnies are friendly, curious animals who enjoy attention and can get along well with other animals - especially their own kind.
Generally, rabbits are happier and healthier in pairs, trios or even larger groups. Bonded pairs are in constant conversation with each other through quiet sounds and movements such as grooming, dancing, snuggling, and even breathing. No amount of human interaction can replace the companionship of another rabbit.
Which is why we've launched a new trial adoption program called Bunny Buddies! The Bunny Buddies program is targeted to current rabbit guardians who are looking to add another bunny to their family. Given a trial adoption period, potential adopters will have time to properly socialize their resident bun with a new rabbit friend.
Here's how it works:
- Potential adopters must still meet the regular adoption requirements and pay the adoption fee before bringing an animal home.
- The program includes a pre-adoption consult on-site with you and your resident bunny. Our expert adoption counselors will discuss proper introduction and bonding techniques and will work with you to help find the best match for your resident bun.
- The trial period will be up to 1 month. We will keep in contact with the trial adopter throughout this period.
- If the potential adopter feels they haven't made the right match, they will return the animal to the shelter (the adoption fee will be reimbursed). If they decide to make the adoption permanent, they must come to the shelter to complete the adoption paperwork.
"This seems to be a great match. I'm really glad I let Louise choose Seymour. He's a wonderful bun!"
