Canine Behavior Academy (CBA)

March 17 through June 2, 2012 (skip 4/14 and 5/19)
The chief instructor is Trish King, Director of
Behavior & Training at the Marin Humane Society.
Cost is $800 for 10 weeks.
A weekly class for busy people who would like to
become professionals in the dog training world or
just want to learn more about the animals that accompany
us through our lives.
This academy stresses practical information delivered
in a relaxed but engaging atmosphere. Classes will
include lecture, video and demonstrations with dogs.
Student’s dogs are welcome to attend most classes.
The syllabus includes the basics of: canine ethology,
social theory, body language, behavior evaluating
basics, safe handling, learning theory, equipment
usage, training exercises, behavior problems,
behavior modifi cation techniques, and beginning
level consulting.
Cost is $800 for 10 weeks. A non-refundable deposit
of $100 is required to reserve a spot. Balance is due no later than March 7. Last day to
