Marin Humane Society Announces New Adoption Outpost Location in Mill Valley
Look for love in all the right places
(NOVATO, CALIF., February 24, 2006) - On scheduled Wednesday and Saturday afternoons, prospective adopters and other animal lovers can now meet adoption animals from the Marin Humane Society outside the Mill Valley Chamber of Commerce at the Depot (85 Throckmorton Ave.). In March, Adoption Outposts are scheduled in Mill Valley on the following days:
- Wed., March 8, 11am to 3pm
- Sat., March 25, 10:30am-2:30pm
- Wed., March 29, 11am to 3pm.
Adoption Outposts give members of the community the chance to meet wonderful animals who are looking for new homes and talk with Humane Society representatives about the animals, behavior and training, and other shelter-related topics. While dogs and puppies are usually the guests of honor at Adoption Outposts, sometimes cats, kittens and even rabbits get to attend. With this new Adoption Outpost, the Humane Society expects to mirror the success it has enjoyed at its other Adoption Outpost locations, including Town Center and The Village in Corte Madera.
“People seem to really appreciate us bringing animals into their own community,” says Kristin Herrera, MHS community outreach coordinator. “The animals enjoy it, too it’s a fun field trip for them.”
