Learn "Trail Manners" Before Hitting the Trails With Your Dog

Humane Society workshop fulfills commercial dog walking requirements

(NOVATO, CALIF., May 16, 2006) — Learn about proper dog etiquette on the trails by attending the “Trail Manners” workshop Tuesday, May 30 from 6–7:30 pm in the Marin Humane Society auditorium (171 Bel Marin Keys Blvd., Novato). Trish King, director of behavior and training, will present how dogs should properly meet and pass each other, how to manage chasing behavior and multiple dog problems, and how to handle other challenging situations that may arise.

This workshop will fulfill the Commercial Use Permit instruction requirements for organizations applying for a commercial dog walking permit from the Marin County Open Space District. It also satisfies the education requirement for individuals working under another person's Commercial Use Permit.

“Trail Manners” is open to the public and costs $35 to attend. Please register in advance by calling (415) 506-6280 or by emailing behavior@marinhumanesociety.org. This workshop is for people only; please leave your dogs at home.
