Strut your pup and raise money for the shelter animals
(NOVATO, CALIF., April 12, 2007) Take a scenic stroll with your four-legged best friend and raise money for the shelter animals by participating in the Marin Humane Society’s Centennial Dog Walk on Sunday, June 3 at 10am. The two-mile loop around Bel Marin Keys will begin at the Society’s new “Barking Lot” (171 Bel Marin Keys Blvd, Novato). Everyone is invited you don’t even need to bring a dog! Immediately following the Dog Walk, participants and their pups can continue to celebrate at the MHS Birthday Bash on the shelter campus.
Registration deadline is May 8 and the $25 registration fee includes an event T-shirt and canine goodies. Walkers may bring up to two dog-friendly pooches per person. Prizes will be awarded to the three people who raise the most money to benefit the shelter animals.
Encourage friends, family, neighbors and co-workers to sponsor you and your canine companion. Registration and pledge forms are available to download from the MHS Web site at www.marinhumanesociety.org. For more information or to receive forms by mail, please call (415) 506-6265.
Remember, the Dog Walk is just the beginning. At the end of the walk, around 10:30am, the Centennial festivities will continue with the MHS Birthday Bash, which is free and open to the public.
