Marin Humane Society Names New Development Director
New Orleans native Jeanne Huber joins progressive Bay Area animal shelter
(NOVATO, CALIF., April 28, 2008) Following a nationwide search, Jeanne Huber has been named the new Development Director of the Marin Humane Society. Huber brings to her role more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit management and has worked extensively throughout the country in the field of animal protection, the arts and human services.
“I am delighted to announce the addition of Jeanne Huber to our management team,” says MHS Executive Director Neil Trent. “I look forward to working with Jeanne on expanding the Humane Society’s development efforts, including the planning and implementation of a visionary capital campaign.”
Born and raised in New Orleans, Huber graduated from the University of New Orleans with an MBA, and received a Masters of Nonprofit Management from Regis University in Denver, Colorado. She is the former development director of the Louisiana Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and, most recently, served as director of community giving and marketing for the United Way of Santa Cruz County. In addition, Huber has demonstrated expertise in nonprofit consulting and has served in volunteer leadership capacities for many nonprofit organizations.

Jeanne lives with her husband Mark and their three dogs, Ginger, Gomez and Max.
