Excerpts from Wallace's Pen Pal Diary

Date: 10/11/05

Wallace arrived today with all the spirit of the fighter he is. He survived Hurricane Katrina. He's a little guy with a big heart. He brought smiles to all of our faces.

Wallce is so fun and enjoyable. He loves to lay with you, eat, sleep and walk. He is potty trained and whines a little when left alone. But after what he's been through...no problem.

Wallace continues to be a blessing. He's a little guy with a big heart. He has now become pretty popular and gets plenty of people visiting and giving him snacks. He's a funny little guy and you have to love him.

A poem for Wallace:

Small in size not in heart

Came here after Hurricane Katrina for a new start.

Great in stature with his own look

He's from New Orleans and can teach me to cook!

Even though physically I'm locked behind bars

The Lord reached from the heavens and threw me a star.

I see no bad habits in Wallace - he should adapt well to new surroundings. He is really comfortable with all of the attention he gets here. Wallace is going to make a great lap dog for someone!
