Marin Humane Society Dog Park

The Marin Humane Society has developed a corner lot to meet the growing needs of our guests and Humane Society programs and services. A new bridge guides people to the adjacent parking lot, plaza area with fountain, and two dog parks.

Facilities include:

  • 75 parking spaces
  • Large Dog Park (25 pounds and over)
  • Small Dog Park (under 25 pounds)
  • Plaza with fountain
  • Water faucets for people and dogs
  • Benches
  • Shade shelter
  • Play boulders
  • Poop bags and scoopers
  • Garbage service
  • Landscape maintenance

MHS will use the parks for adoption dog socialization, exercise and family introductions; training classes and behavioral evaluations; and special events.

O
ccasionally the Marin Humane Society will need to reserve the dog park during public hours for special events or unscheduled maintenance issues. In addition, to preserve the integrity of the turf, we have found the need to close the parks during inclement weather. You’ll find current dog park conditions and closures posted on this page.

In an effort to make your dog park experience as fun and hassle-free as possible, effective immediately visitors will no longer require a membership key to enter and exit the grounds.

Leaving the park gates unlocked requires that all dog guardians adhere to an honor system. All dogs on park grounds must be spayed/neutered, have a current Marin County dog license and be current on vaccinations. Please see our posted rules for additional information.

Since the MHS dog parks opened in 2007, more than 500 dogs and their human friends have enjoyed using these grounds to relax, exercise and socialize. With your cooperation, our dog parks will continue to be a safe, secure environment for our canine friends.

For any questions or concerns, please call Suzanne Kernek at (415) 506-6250.
