	Mr. Simmons 3-year-old Neutered Male

	Handsome Mr. Simmons is a big lug of a lovable cat! He's a friendly fellow who enjoys head rubs, neck scratches and the feeling of a brush running through his hair. He doesn't enjoy having his hind end handled, however - he has a healing pelvic fracture that makes him a bit sensitive back there (please read his vet notes for more information). We know he'd love nothing more than to spend his day curled up in a sunbeam or, better yet, on your lap! Ideal Home: Best in a home with high school age children or older Take a chance on me



	Candy 1-year-old Spayed Female

	Candy comes to us because her prior family no longer had the time to take care of her. Candy is social and confident and enjoys people; however she is very particular about how you pick her up -- not from the rear! And she likes her toenails long, not clipped, if you please! If you can respect Candy's handling limits, you'll be rewarded with an appealing and friendly young cat. Ideal Home: Best in a home with high school age children or older Take a chance on me



	Edwina 1-year-old Spayed Female

	Edwina is a beautiful, but quite shy, white princess. She is cautiously curious and may take some time to look for your warm lap. She would love to be your only cat in a calm home, as the hustle and bustle of an active family will not suit her. 	Spencer 3-year-old Neutered Male

	If you like the strong, silent type then Spencer is your guy. Spencer was found wandering the streets in Novato, but now he's here with us until he finds just the purrfect home. Spencer can be shy and retiring at first, but if you give him just a little time and allow him to grow comfortable, he'll warm right up to you. We think he'll do best in a fairly quiet household. Get acquainted with him as he’s feel comfortable, he'll talk quietly with you and eventually offer you some head bumps. He might even begin making biscuits when he's completely relaxed. Before long this shy handsome boy will claim you and the family for his very own! Ideal Home: Best in a home with grade school age children or older



	Cuddles 8-year-old Neutered Male

	Right now, Cuddles doesn't know the meaning of "sit." Although we think he's going to be a superb lap cat - he's oh, so sweet and affectionate and calms down well - he has the energy and climbing skills of a one-year-old. Was that Cuddles jumping up the wall? Yup! Once home, though, he should settle down beautifully and make a wonderful companion for young and old. Since he was at home on the range, he needs to learn to trust the safety of his human environment. He's very tolerant and has a great command of his language when he sees fit to communicate his needs. Cuddles is a cutie. Ideal Home: Best in most any home with adjustment



	Lover Boy 2-year-old Neutered Male

	Lover Boy has been very busy this year. He came to us from a Central Valley shelter, went to live with a new guardian but alas came back to find his perfect home. This sweet, handsome boy is a little nervous and confused about his surroundings. He would prefer to be in a calm, quieter environment with older children. He lived with another cat but neither one wanted to share their food. At this point in his life, being the only animal to receive all your attention, would be ideal! Lover Boy is ready to settle down in his forever home. This purr-fect gentleman deserves another chance. What a great way to start the new year. 	Jupiter 8-year-old Neutered Male

	Jupiter is on trial adoption! Jupiter is a sweet, shy tabby who is ready for a new start in life. We think Jupiter will do best in a fairly quiet household, with older, respectful teens or adults only. He's a little shy to begin with, but once he's comfortable in a new space, he comes out to greet you, purring and talking quietly. Jupiter lived indoors only and enjoyed watching the world go by from his kitty condo perch. He's still quite playful, and particularly likes catnip pillows and toys on a string. If you can give Jupiter a safe, enriched environment and a warm lap to sleep on, this sweet boy will reward you with his constant companionship and devoted affection. 	Tink 6-year-old Spayed Female

	Tink is sister to Jet, the two of them have lived together for 6 years in a home with other cats and an Australian Shepherd dog. Tink is sweet, affectionate and especially loves people and their petting. She can never get enough of it! These two girls would love to go together to their next home, if possible. Ideal Home: Best in most any home with adjustment



	Jet 6-year-old Spayed Female

	Jet is one of two felines surrendered to us, the other cat is Tink. The two of them have lived together for 6 years in a home with other cats and an Australian Shepherd dog. Jet is a bit more reserved and skittish, but generally sweet, affectionate and loving. It would be great if the two sisters could stay together. Ideal Home: Best in a home with grade school age children or older



	Harrison 4-year-old Neutered Male

	Tall (well, it IS relative!) dark and handsome! With lovely green eyes to boot. What more could you ask? Our man Harrison was apparently quite the ladies man "catting" around town. He might have gotten into a scrape or two defending his harem. So, now he is ruggedly handsome in a Harrison Ford kind of way. Since Harrison was found stray, we don't really know his opinions on other cats or dogs. However, if he were to be a second cat, a female would be the best bet. 	Duffy 3-year-old Neutered Male

	Duffy is on trial adoption! Duffy is looking for a home to grace with his considerable charms. If you are looking for a substantial cat with a fondness for laps, Duffy is your guy! We feel with proper introductions he will fit into a home with children, he might even enjoy another cat for company. The dog might take a while to gain Duffy's affection, but given time he might just learn to accept a friendly dog. Some active games, with wand toys will help Duffy shed the pounds he has gained while he was a guest at our shelter. 	Jackson 5-year-old Neutered Male

	Meet Action Jackson, super orange kitty. Actually, Jackson is a pretty mellow dude. He likes to think of himself as a "people" cat and once he is comfortable in a home he just wants to be with his people. Other cats and dogs aren't his thing. Take this lovebug home and listen to him purr with contentment. He also wouldn't mind a nice soft brushing once he arrives! Ideal Home: Best in a home with high school age children or older



	Caruso 2-year-old Neutered Male

	Meet Caruso, who will entertain you with his magnificent voice if you give him the chance. This big guy is quite shy but will probably warm up given time to feel safe and secure. He would love a small room of his own with a window to watch the signs of spring emerge. If you are looking for a gentle, shy guy, Caruso is the one for you! He will blossom under your care. 	Guinevere 2-year-old Spayed Female

	Guenivere is ready to find the purrfect home. This girl knows what she wants! Wand toys to indulge her playful nature, plus a nice big plush toy to kick and bite. After she's had plenty of exercise, allow her to rest for a bit, and then ask her permission to comb out her hair and give her some short, gentle rubs. This girl acts like royalty; she may decide to pay attention to you for a bit, but then she's off on her next high-falutin' adventure. Guenivere is a busy, confident girl who enjoys life on her own terms. Are you the experienced cat fancier who will be won over by her charms? Ideal Home: Best in a home with adults only



	Boogie 1-year-old Spayed Female

	A Reubenesque beauty, Boogie has at least 2 New Year's resolutions; find her forever home and regain her svelte figure. This shy girl has lived well as an indoor cat with other cats and a dog. Although initially withdrawn, we think that given time and patience this formerly feral cat will warm up and let her affectionate nature shine through. She is young, sweet, gentle and easy to handle, but just a little overwhelmed here at the shelter. Boogie would like nothing more than a quiet home to call her own with kindly folks to love her and give her the exercise and food portion control needed to help those excess pounds disappear. 	Cindee 2-year-old Spayed Female

	Beautiful Cindee will love home and hearth but don't expect to boss her around too much or be the perfect lap cat. This sweet and gentle torbie has the patience of a Fairy Godmother - she likes to be pet, held and cuddled, but her tolerance goes so far. She is part tortie, after all. Make sure the younger children know not to hold her upside down or jump on a trampoline with her in tow. She will quickly rebel. She'd make a great companion to an older person and would probably prefer a quieter lifestyle. And, she does like her toys, so make sure she has plenty of variety to spice up her life. 	Stripes 3-year-old Neutered Male

	Until recently Stripes has been a 'man about town' up near Yuba City. Although technically homeless, he befriended a variety of people, especially one lady who invited him into her house for meals and companionship. He liked to follow her about and even enjoyed being carried. Now we would love to see Stripes settled into a permanent home of his very own with a window perch, comfy beds, and a steady source of companionship. This independent guy may take a bit of time to open up, so please be patient. In time, Stripes will leave his hobo days behind, and become a pampered pussycat. Ideal Home: Best in a home with adults only



	Katie 1-year-old Spayed Female

	Katie is a lovely, gentle young lady that is certainly ready for a comfy lap and quiet afternoons in the warm sun. She enjoys being groomed and held, but tends to be a little cautious about loud noises and sudden movements. For this reason, she would probably do best in a quieter home with somewhat older children that can respect her sensitive nature. Once Katie gets comfortable with her new family, her fun, curious side will come out and she will be a great companion to share your life and love. Ideal Home: Best in a home with grade school age children or older



	Alice 6-month-old Spayed Female

	Alice and her sister Bean came to us because a member of their household developed allergies. They hadn't been in their home for very long, but it was still long enough for them to adjust to living with another resident cat and a couple of dogs. Clearly these girls are quite confident and adaptable, and they would love to be placed together into a forever home. Alice is a bit more reserved than her sister, but she'll come out to spend time with you soon enough. It won't be long before she's giving you head nudges and some quiet chatter, and finds a comfy spot in your lap. Ideal Home: Best in most any home with adjustment



	Bean 6-month-old Spayed Female

	Bean and her sister Alice came to us because a member of their household developed allergies. Bean is a bit more social and gregarious; she'll quickly find your lap or your shoulders to perch on. She's soft and cuddly and affectionate and will win you over in no time! 	Cupid 3-year-old Neutered Male

	Let Cupid, pierce your heart! On the outside the god of love seems a bit shy, but my goodness, once he knows you are ready to love him- look out world! Cupid is a major snuggler! Because he has had a rough life this young man needs a patient and understanding home. Be aware Cupid may need more time or seem reactive to changes or loud noises, we think over time this behavior will fall away. Come meet cupid and bring home some love. 	Jillian 2-year-old Spayed Female

	Jillian is looking for a lap or two to grace with her considerable presence. This calm and mellow beauty will be a wonderful addition to almost any family as she is great with children and likes other cats. Show her a feathered wand toy and she will show you some moves worthy of an appearance on Dancing with the Stars! If you are ready for lovely companion to share your life, Jillian is ready to share her love with you. Ideal Home: Best in most any home with adjustment



	Madonna 3-year-old Spayed Female

	Madonna came to us as a pregnant lady and is leaving here as a spayed swinging single! This gal has seen the rough side of a cat's life and is now ready for some TLC and the sunny side, which includes good food, a safe and soft place to curl up in, but most of all, lots and lots of your love. 	Big Bubba 3-year-old Neutered Male

	Big Bubba has spent way too much time out on the mean streets and now is ready to curl up in a cozy basket by a sunny window and enjoy the easy life. He is affectionate, loves to be petted and drools with happiness at a loving touch. Ideal Home: Best in a home with grade school age children or older



	Biker Dude 1-year-old Neutered Male

	Biker Dude, what a love bug! This is a very affectionate young guy who will follow your around for attention once he is comfortable in your home. How many ways can he ask for attention? Head butts, rolling over on his back to show his tummy, weaving around your legs, grabbing your hand gently with his mouth, and sharing his loud purr! Try to use toys to interact with this lovely guy, to help him get past using his mouth. He loves tummy rubs, and certainly enjoys people more than toys! 	Pheonix 8-year-old Neutered Male

	What a beauty! Meet Phoenix who would love to rise up from his current status and grace your home with his considerable charms. If you are looking for an easy going, affectionate guy, please check him out. Ideal Home: Best in most any home with adjustment



	Sunset 1-year-old Spayed Female

	Beautiful Sunset is a bit shy but she loves people and loves to cuddle. We think Sunset is a sweet and affectionate girl who will be a wonderful companion. Just give her that purrfect perch on a kitty condo - where she can watch the birds from a sunny window. And when she's done bird watching and playing with her favorite toys and companions, she'll be ready to snuggle into your lap for some grooming and petting, followed by a nice long nap. 	Toby 1-year-old Neutered Male

	Toby is a big boy, but still a youngster. Toby is a bit shy and will need a slow introduction to his new household and family. This sweet, gentle boy may look for a place to hide for the first few days, but he will soon be giving you head nudges and making biscuits in your lap once he's discovered that he's safe and well-loved in his new home. 	Cleopatra 6-year-old Spayed Female

	Beautiful Cleopatra has glorious tresses. Speaking of her tresses, she will need regular grooming. Cleopatra does enjoy grooming, however, she is most comfortable with the grooming done in small bits. Preferably in front of a fireplace or sunny window while on your lap! We recommend a cat experienced home with no children for the delectable Cleopatra. Our Pet Pals report that Cleopatra likes to give a lot of head nudges for attention, will purr gently and might even do a bit of chatting! Ideal Home: Best in an adults only home
