'Tis The Season To Help Pets Of People-In-Need Marin Humane Society welcomes donations to fill gift baskets for needy pets(NOVATO, CALIF., December 17, 2005) — This holiday season, you can make a difference for less fortunate companion animals by donating pet food, toys and supplies to the Marin Humane Society. From balls and bowls to stuffed toys and animal edibles, each gift will be used to fill gift baskets for disadvantaged dogs and cats. Financial contributions are also welcome and will be used to purchase additional items for the pets in need. Donations may be delivered now through December 9 to the Marin Humane Society, located at 171 Bel Marin Keys Blvd., Novato. Teen volunteers will wrap the holiday gifts on December 14. Then, all gift baskets will be delivered on December 15 to the St. Vincent De Paul Society, Ritter House, The Canal Community Alliance, The Salvation Army and the Novato Human Needs Center for distribution to their clients with pets.
