Learn Pet First Aid & CPR at the Marin Humane Society

(NOVATO, CALIF., February 22, 2007) — Accidents happen. Help your dogs and cats survive a medical emergency by learning the skills for performing pet first aid and CPR. Two Pet First Aid & CPR workshops will be held Saturday, March 17 at the Marin Humane Society (171 Bel Marin Keys Blvd., Novato). Pet guardians may register for one of the two sessions: 9am–1pm or 2–6 pm.

Presented by the American Safety & Health Institute, this hands-on workshop teaches basic lifesaving techniques, including basic pet first aid, CPR training, rescue breathing, restraint and muzzling, choking management, poison response, and much more. “Being prepared for a pet emergency will increase your chances of responding quickly and calmly,” says Morgan Lance, MHS education coordinator. “Properly applied first aid can minimize a pet’s trauma and even save their life!”

The workshop fee is $50 and includes a handbook and certificate of completion. Space is limited. To register, please call (415) 506-6288.
