Pet First Aid & CPR Workshop at the Marin Humane Society

Learn the skills necessary to save your pet's life!

(NOVATO, CALIF., July 19, 2007) — Help your dogs and cats survive a medical emergency by gaining the skills for performing pet first aid and CPR. Two Pet First Aid & CPR workshops will be held Saturday, July 28 at the Marin Humane Society (171 Bel Marin Keys Blvd., Novato). Pet guardians may register for one of the two sessions. The morning session takes place from 9am–1pm; the afternoon session is from 2–6 pm.

Presented by the American Red Cross, this hands-on workshop teaches basic lifesaving techniques, including basic pet first aid, CPR training, rescue breathing, restraint and muzzling, choking management, poison response, and much more. Its objective is to prepare dog and cat guardians to save the lives of their pets when confronted with emergency situations.

The workshop fee is $35 and includes a first aid workbook and completion certificate. Space is limited. To register, please call (415) 506-6288.

Please leave your animals at home. Stuffed “demo pets” will be available for hands-on training.
