Roaming Dogs in Marin County

Here's what to do if you find a dog running loose in your neighborhood:

  • Confine the dog on your property; call the Humane Society at (415) 883-4621 and an officer will pick the dog up.
  • Bring the dog to the shelter anytime. We have a night kennel where you can bring an animal after regular business hours.
  • If you are unable to catch the dog or you know of a dog who regularly runs loose, call the Humane Society during regular business hours (Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.)
