County Animal Services

From rescuing animals in distress to providing stray animals with emergency veterinary care, The Marin Humane Society Animal Services Officers are on hand 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Please click on a link to the left or below to find more information on the various areas our dedicated officers handle. There is also a self-service night receiving kennel at the shelter that is always available.

The Marin Humane Society officers will:

  • Follow up on citizens' complaints

  • Pick up stray animals who are confined

  • Transport stray animals to emergency veterinary care

  • Rescue animals in distress

  • Respond to an animal emergency 24 hours a day. For assistance, please call (415) 883-4621 and press "1" to reach help.
