Research shows that children who are taught to be kind towards animals tend to mature into compassionate adults. At the Marin Humane Society, we are delighted to share our ethic of compassion with members of our community, especially youth.
Our Education department reaches out to thousands of Marin school children every year with on-site and outreach presentations, community service opportunities, internships, after-school clubs, shelter tours, and most popular of all, summer camp. Children also have the opportunity to celebrate their birthday at the Marin Humane Society as part of our humane birthday program.
Humane education opportunities are not limited to the younger set. Ongoing education programs for adults include workshops on a wide variety of animal topics.
