You can help the shelter animals and people in our community by volunteering at the Marin Humane Society. As a volunteer, you become part of a team committed to providing loving, quality care to the animals. Over 600 volunteers help with everything from walking dogs, socializing cats, cleaning kennels, helping at special events, finding forever homes for the shelter animals and much more. All of the volunteer orientations through the spring are full. The next available volunteer orientation will be held on Saturday, June 10 from 9-11:30am. Registration for this orientation will open on May 1. This session includes an introduction to the services and philosophy of the Marin Humane Society, a discussion of current volunteer opportunities and a tour.
Please Note: You must be 18 years or older to become a volunteer and able to commit to two to four hours per week for a minimum of one year. There is a $25 non-refundable volunteer materials fee.
