Marin Humane Society volunteers have the highly rewarding opportunity to learn about and contribute to the welfare of animals. Our nearly 600 volunteers help with everything from walking dogs, to helping at special events, to doing laundry. Join our family and share in our amazing success!
We welcome anyone (18 years and older) who would like to volunteer their time and is interested in making a difference. We ask for a one-year commitment of at least two to four hours a week per job. There is an orientation session that includes a tour and introduction to the services and philosophy of the Marin Humane Society, as well as a discussion of current volunteer opportunities. Volunteer orientations are held monthly and pre-registration is required.
Volunteer opportunities for those under age 18 include our animal services clubs for middle and high school students and internships for high school students. Please contact the Education department or call 415.506.6288. Also visit our Student Opportunities page.
Please contact our Volunteer department for orientation information. Or submit our online volunteer application.
Please note, the volunteer orientations are currently full through December 2013. The next orientation will be held in January 2014.
