The Marin Humane Society Behavior & Training instructors provide private training to clients at our Novato campus or in your home. These one-on-one training sessions are designed to help teach all levels of obedience exercises. You’ll work with an instructor to design a training program that is right for you and your dog.
To arrange private training sessions, please contact the Behavior & Training Department at 415.506.6281.
At the MHS campus:
$40 per 30-minute session
Offsite/ in-home training:
$40 per 30-minute session (plus travel time to the client’s home)
Private training must be scheduled and paid for in advance.
Having problems with your canine companion's behavior? Consultations address the "why" and "how to modify" for behavior problems. A private session with a behavior consultant will provide insight about how to more comfortably coexist with your best friend. Sessions are 75-minutes long. We discuss the dog's history, try to observe the problem behavior, explain how to modify the undesirable behavior, and then demonstrate the applicable techniques.
Depending on the consultant, fees begin at $95. Dogs adopted from MHS within the past six months receive one complimentary behavior consultation.
Cat guardians are also welcome to seek advice, but please leave your feline safely at home.
For clients who would prefer the consultation be done in their home, the rate is $95 plus travel time to the client’s home.
For more information, please call 415.506.6281.
