When you adopt an animal from the Marin Humane Society, not only are you providing your new pet with a forever home, but your adoption fee helps us care for many other animals in need.
In fact, between microchips, vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery and feeding, care for a healthy animal in our shelter costs $500 on average. As an open door shelter we treat all animals, including a number of them with medical issues, and that can quickly double--and in some cases more than triple--that amount.
